MyPinkPlanner is an online calendar that organizes a breast cancer survivor's life so she can concentrate on becoming healthy.
MyPinkPlanner allows you to customize tasks you and your family need - like cooking a meal, doing their laundry, or carpooling the kids. Then you e-mail your family and friends so they can volunteer for those tasks on your personal website.
We connect you with your family and friends who can make your life easier when you really need it!
On October 23, 2004, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. It was a day I will never forget, and one that changed my life forever.
I thought to myself, "How would I care for my 3-year-old son with Down Syndrome? How would I care for my family? How would I drive myself to the doctor's office?"
I was not sure if I could handle another of life's major hurdles, but I knew I couldn't fight cancer alone. I would need help.
Despite dozens of caring phone calls from concerned friends and family, I could not bare the thought of trying to organize people to run Johnnie to therapy, cook meals for my husband and clean my house -- much less fight the battle of my life.
Instead, I thought, "Why not use the internet?" I could customize the tasks that I needed completed in a calendar on a specific day, and have my friends and family sign up for those tasks online. And that's how MyPinkPlanner came to be.
If MyPinkPlanner could help me, it could help millions of other women who are diagnosed with breast cancer every year. Despite being diagnosed with cancer, women still have households to run, families to care for, and chores to be done. But those women should focus on surviving cancer -- not worrying about life's daily duties.
MyPinkPlanner provides an online planner for women, men and their friends undergoing breast cancer treatment. It is now time for MyPinkPlanner to help others as it helped me!
